By 2012, Young Life had grown to the point to where it’s existing camps could not support the number of campers wishing to attend a week or weekend of Young Life camp. Carolina Point was asked to welcome its first Young Life outreach campers in the summer of 2013. The multi-purpose building was themed and separated into three main areas: 1) the kitchen, 2) the dining area, and 3) the Club Room. Smaller areas were also incorporated into this same space including the store, snack bar, game room, and mountain bike staging area. Two camper dorms were constructed that would accommodate 208 campers/leaders, up to 24 Assigned Team members and their families, 24 Work Crew and 24 Summer Staff. We also constructed one of the largest zip canopy courses in the southeast with the longest section being a half mile long.
